On behalf of Skyline University College and on my personal behalf, I welcome all of you to the Fall Semester - 2021. I will be interacting with you by teaching Operations Management course. Today, in the globalized business environment, operations management plays a significant role in designing innovative products and services and in providing competitive advantage to business organizations. The strategies and practices of operations are equally important for both manufacturing and service sector organizations. Advances in digital technologies have contributed to tremendous growth in operations resulting in enhanced customer satisfaction and product innovation. In this course, we will be discussing topics related to operations function, operations strategies, approaches to measure operations performance, product and process design, inventory management, quality improvement, role in overall business strategy, role of information technology in operations and how to improve productivity using operations strategies through case analysis and solving numerical problems related to Productivity, Location, and Inventory Management.
